Single Channel Erbium-doped Fiber Pre-Amplifier for C-band

The erbium-doped fiber small signal amplifier (PA, Pre-Amplifier) is dedicated to the amplification of weak optical signals in the range of -45dBm ~ -25 dBm. The typical gain of small signal is as high as 35 or 45 dB, and it has a low noise figure. Used before the photodetector to improve its ability to detect weak light signals.

Note 1:

  1. ACC mode-automatic current control: the EDFA pump working current is set by the user and automatically locked by the EDFA to achieve a constant pump current. When the input optical power fluctuates, the output power will also fluctuate accordingly, which is applicable to all EDFA models.
  2. APC mode-automatic power control: the user sets the signal light output power of the EDFA, PD automatically monitors and feeds back the output power, EDFA control and self-adaptive adjustment of the pump to achieve the stability of the output signal. The advantage of the APC mode is that when the input optical power fluctuates, the EDFA will reduce the output power fluctuation as much as possible, and it is suitable for power and line EDFAs.
